FALL BEAUTY FAVOURITES

I'm the type of person (read:asshole) who actually enjoys the onset of winter. Okay, maybe not necessarily the cold it brings, but there's a feeling of comfort that comes from being inside snuggled under blankets on a snowy day. What can I say, it must be the homebody in me. And then there's the fashion it brings – thick knit sweaters, blanket scarves, and wool everything... including this wool phone case by LuxBoxCase, which in my opinion is a must for the season.

But I have to admit the season, especially the transition from summer to fall, takes a serious toll on my skin, which is already rather dry. So, as Fall comes to an end and we enter those, often unbearable, Winter months, I figured I would take a moment to highlight the army of skincare and makeup products that kept my skin looking it's best throughout Autumn. Many of which are likely to be by my side for the onset of winter as well.

MY FALL SKINCARE FAVOURITES

When it comes to skincare I've been head over heels with the Laneige Water Bank Collection, including the Water Sleeping Mask – you can see a review of the collection here. Although not featured in the above photos this collection has quickly become my go-to skincare regime. It's lightweight, ultra-hydrating, and keeps my skin glowing – an absolute must for those with dry skin.

But beyond my daily face routine, there are a few other skincare products that I consider necessary for Autumn. First and foremost, a great lip balm. My lips are extremely sensitive around this time of the year and quickly crack – TMI, I'm sure – so I never leave the house without my Jack Black Intense Lip Therapy. The gel-like consistency is thick and coats lips in a layer of protection that nourishes without being sticky or uncomfortable, and the easy to use tube means I can apply it wherever I am. Although I typically opt for the classic Mint scent, lately I've been loving the uplifting Grapefruit blend.

Next on my list of necessities is a great body lotion. For me, that mean mixing a few drops of the Clarins Body Treatment Oil into my most-loved NIVEA Creme. The whipped texture of the creme allows this body lotion to easily penetrate and absorb into my skin, while the addition of the body oil further hydrates and soothes, leaving a natural glow.

Last but not least, although I'm not sure it's truly considered skin care, I always change up my fragrance between seasons. This Fall I've fallen – pun intended – deeply in love with the CLEAN Fragrance in Sueded Oud. There's something about its deep musky aroma that further enhances the feeling of comfort that comes with the season. Plus, this fragrance can be layered with other CLEAN Fragrances to create a scent that is truly personal and unique, so there's an option for everyone.

MY FALL MAKEUP FAVOURITES

Although I'm always rather minimal when it comes to makeup, I still have a few products I can't go without, and that's especially true come Fall. Typically that includes a do-everything eyeshadow palette, alongside a versatile lipstick. I've been really into CoverGirl since the launch of their Katy Kat collection with Katy Pery, and lately, it seems like everyone and their mom is talking about the TruNaked Eyeshadow Palettes – and for good reason. The TruNaked Eyeshadow palette in Nude is not to be overlooked. This palette might be inexpensive, but that doesn't mean it isn't intensely pigmented. I've found countless ways to combine the shades of this palette to create a stunning day or night makeup look. And I absolutely love using it alongside the CoverGirl TruNaked Eyeliner. Such a great drugstore beauty find!

When it comes to a versatile lipstick, the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks got me covered. I currently have 6 shades from the line, which are hydrating and intensely pigmented, and am always finding a new way to combine them to create a unique lipstick. My most reached for out of the bunch is C211 - a beautiful Rose Wood shade that looks equally as appropriate for day as it does for night.
