L'OCCITANE . IMMORTELLE DIVINE CREAM MASK
Earlier this month L'Occitane En Provence launched a new addition to their Immortelle Divine lineup, the Divine Cream Mask, which brings all the performance and sensoriality of a professional facial treatment to the comfort of your home. Complete with it's own distinctive facial massage tool, the Divine applicator – inspired by the Immortelle Flower and coated in 24K gold, this mask is so luxurious that you may never leave the house for a facial treatment again!
The Divine Cream Mask ($150) is the latest dual-use luxury cream that doubles as a face moisturizer and mask. "With five patents, this moisturizer comprised of immortelle essential oil and a complex of seven naturally derived active ingredients visibly fights signs of aging and leaves skin incredibly nourished." The primary active ingredients are Immortelle, Shea Butter, and Cistus, which act to provide anti-ageing properties, nourish the skin, and deliver an instant relaxing effect, respectively. The secret behind the cream's efficacy lies in the new formula, which has a structure similar to that of the skin. Jean-Lous Pierrisnard, Scientific Director at L'Occitane, describes this phenomenon in greater detail; "Based on a substantial oily phase, composed of waxes, plant butters and oils with different melting points, the structure of the formula enables the products to be better absorbed over a limited period of time. On contact with the skin, the mask begins to melt. Then the hard fats gradually melt, and, with massage, the emulsion finally becomes one with the skin."
I can fully attest to the fast-absorption of this luxury cream, a concept I initially was skeptical of given it's richness. Within seconds the cream had vanished from my sight, however I could still feel the nourishing benefits it possessed deep within my skin. My complexion has never looked as radiant and rested as it does after using the Divine Cream Mask overnight. Unless, of course, I incorporate the Divine Massager and give myself an At-Home Face Massage, as depicted in the video below, which helps to further promote microcirculation and skin breathing – two essentials for a youthful glow.
