This weekend marks the third annual Wayhome Music Festival, which takes place just outside of Barrie, ON every July. And while I haven't been able to make it back to Wayhome since its inaugural year, documented here, I'm already experiencing severe FOMO as I watch others prepare for the weekend ahead. Especially with acts like Banks, Schoolboy Q, Jazz Cartier and Frank Ocean featured on the festival line-up.

Festival fashion has come a long way since the Coachella days when every woman was adorned with a floral crown. Nowadays, it's much more relaxed and true to self, but still, it can be easy to get caught up in the need to be seen. In the past, this unhealthy need led over packing and ultimately losing a number of accessories throughout the festival weekend. But now, I keep it simple with a few key accessories that offer both style and function. 

For jewellery, sterling silver pieces are not only affordable, but they can be worn throughout the weekend without tarnishing or turning skin green. I've got my eyes on the Noir Jewelry Cape Cod Ring and circle pendant, two great options for festival season! I also found that life would have been much simpler if I would have opted to only bring one set of sunglasses. Finally, if you come back from a music festival without a handful of Polaroid's did you really attend the festival?
