COMING UP ROSES

See this content in the original post

Although I've never been one for florals, lately I've had my eye on everything and anything rose related. From iron-on rose patches to a pair of killer rose-embroidered boots to rose-influenced beauty products; I want it all. Below are a few of the items currently on my radar.

1. Etsy | Boy Bye Baseball Cap ($20 CAD)
This ball cap may be seemingly unrelated, but the truth of the matter is that there is a strong message in Beyoncé's lyrics 'Boy, Bye'. It's a reminder that we are all roses, and it is of utmost importance that we remember our worth, especially given our current dating culture. If he ain't treating you like a rose, your response best be 'Boy, Bye'.
Favourite designs include: ValDesignsOnline & TrendyApparelShop.

2. Etsy | Iron On Embroidered Rose ($5-10 CAD)
No matter what shop I step into these days it seems there is an abundance of patches and pins to choose from, many of which are rose related. Topping my list are these single stem patches I found on Etsy, which I plan to use to customize a few denim items currently lost in my closet.
Favourite designs include: WholesaleApplique & LifeClub

3. Sephora | Elizabeth & James Nirvana Rose ($85)
I've never been one to wear a floral perfume, but with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in full control of the creative vision of this scent I have complete trust it will be magic. Nirvana Rose is said to be 'a seductive floral blend embodying the heart of a dark rose with notes of rose de mai, geranium, and vetiver for a sultry, refined scent with intrigue.' I can't wait to give it a whiff, alongside their Nirvana Bourbon fragrance, which accompanies this release.

4. The Bay | Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Pirate ($43)
Chanel Pirate is one of those classic reds that will never go out of style, and Chanel's signature double C's are forever Instagram-worthy. So why not splurge on this decadent lipstick?

5. Union Jack Boots | Dr. Martens Vonda Black Softy T ($249.99 CAD)
I've always wanted a pair of Dr. Martens – they're edgy, practical, and can even pair well with a dress when styled properly. But it wasn't until I laid my eyes on these Docs while scrolling through the wide selection of Dr. Martens that Union Jack Boots has to offer that I felt truly compelled to buy. The embroidered rose details add a feminine touch, but I still wouldn't mess with any girl who can pull these off.

6. Net-A-Porter | Diptyque Roses Scented Candle ($30)

It's become impossible for me to continue to ignore this candle; it shows up on my Instagram, while I peruse blogs, and now it's even started to invade my google ads. I'm 'bout to cave and I'm not even mad about it. Plus, you can use the stunning glass jar for storage once its burned through completely.

7. Sephora | Korres Wild Rose Brightening Targeted Tone Corrector ($43)
The Korres Wild Rose line has always intrigued me, but I've strayed because of an adversion to the scent. However, as the years have passed I've seemingly caught feelings for the smell of roses and am ready to dive into the collection. First on my wishlist is the new Korres Wild Rose Brightening Targeted Tone Corrector, which treats visible spots with a powerful blend of botanical skin brighteners, pure vitamin C, and wild rose oil. Although I try to stay out of the sun for the most part, sun spots have still managed to form, so I'm anxious to see if this product can corrent them and bring my skin back to an even tone.
