Into Indie Beauty

Don't get me wrong... skincare giants like Origins, Josie Maran, and Ole Henriksen are great and all, but there's something to be said about discovering an indie skin miracle that few know of. Unfortunately, it's been some time since I've stumbled upon a hidden skincare treasure, so as of late, I've been on the hunt. Luckily, it's getting easier to find these miracle brands as mass retailers are beginning to take note of the following (and $$$) they bring.

Recently, I discovered that three of the indie skincare brands I've been longing to test out, Indie Lee, Mario Badescu, and Patchology are actually available at Amazon.ca. So today, I'm sharing the reasons I'm so desperate to try each brand, and the products I'm after!

Indie Lee

We all have that one blogger we look up to. For me, it's Always Judging, and let me tell you... that woman is never far from her Indie Lee Eye Balm, which tells me the brand is worth a good look. The products I'm most eager to test out include the Blemish Lotion, Brightening Cleanser in Light Strawberry, Moisturizing Oil in Patchouli Sandalwood Ylang YlangSqualane Facial Oil and Hydrating Body Balm. I've owned a similar Blemish lotion in the past from Kate Somerville, so I'm eager to see if this one lives up to it.

Mario Badescu

Another Always Judging favourite is Mario Badescu, a brand I've known of for years, and have yet to test. As I'm getting older, their mission to provide consumers with simple and effective skin care is one that I fully support, and I've actually grown to fancy their clinical packaging. Currently on my Mario Badescu wishlist: the Drying Lotion, Hyaluronic Eye Cream, Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater, Honey Moisturizer and Kiwi Face Scrub. I mean, common! With ingredients like honey, kiwi, rosewater and aloe, what more could you ask for?

Patchology

Finally, there's Patchology, a brand that specializes in gel patches and sheet masks. And while I love a good sheet mask, the two products I'm most interested in are the FlashPatch Lip Gels and FlashPatch Eye Gels. They are known as FlashPatches because they are formulated to work within 5 minutes and claim to deliver active ingredients better than creams and oils. I can't wait to find out if they live up to the test.
