LACED UP
Being on trend has never been something I've strived towards; for one it's expensive AF, and two, I truthfully have no interest in looking like the masses. That's not to say that I don't possess style; my monochromatic wardrobe is one that has been carefully curated and thoughtfully perfected over the past year or so. But at the end of the day you'll never find me in line for the latest fashion collaboration, scouting out a limited edition item, or crying over the fact that I don't own Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit. It's just not me. And for that reason I'm truly only playing around with the 'laced up' trend for the first time this season.
Acting as my introduction to the trend, this White Lace Up Front Sweater($17) strays far from the Revolve Body Suit that started it all (for me anyways), but still delivers the sex appeal with a laced up deep V. I found the sweater while perusing SheInside and simply couldn't resist it's clean lines and quilted detail, especially given the price point. Paired with high-waisted skinny jeans and black booties, this look is a current favourite, however I'm already anticipating wearing this sweater with distressed jean shorts for a few summer nights.
