NEWLY PURCHASED . EDIT oo1
Some weeks no matter how many times you re-watch Hannibal Burress Live From Chicago you still remain 'in the dumps'. It's a type of emotional purgatory that can only be remitted with some classic retail therapy. And while the products featured above/below have been purchased at various points throughout the past month, their innate beauty has thrust me into a state of optimism for the week ahead.
Runway Luxe – Bralets (3 for $50)
Finding a supportive, and comfortable bra when you're working with a modest chest can feel seemingly impossible. A reason why so many women turn to bralets. But despite their simplistic design, bralets can carry an extortionate price point. Unless you head to Runway Luxe, located at 495 Queen St W, where you can find beautiful styles and colours for a mere 3/$50. Plus their quality is on-point; similar to that of Aritzia, or Urban Outfitters. My top colour picks: black, white and bone.
J.Crew – Stacker Cuff ($45)
A thin gold bracelet is a staple in every woman's wardrobe. So why have I gone the past 25 years without one? Presumably because I had never crossed paths with one that embodied minimalism, elegance, and edginess in the way the J.Crew – Stacker Cuff does.
Deborah Lippmann – Cuticle Lab ($48)
After avoiding eye contact with my cuticle beds for a few weeks due to an unfortunate stint with bio gel tips, I finally visited the nail salon to get my nails/cuticles on the up and up. Now the upkeep, which is seemingly less laborious when you're equipped with the Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Lab.
This intensive cuticle treatment therapy includes:
- 0.27 oz Cuticle Oil
- 0.27 oz Cuticle Remover
- 0.34 oz The Cure Ultra Nourishing Cuticle Repair Cream
- The Pusher
- Step-by-step Guide
Runway Luxe – Howlite Ear Jacket ($24)
In addition to finding the bralets at Runway Luxe, I also discovered this gorgeous set of Howlite Ear Jackets. The ear jacket trend has been a hot one this summer, and doesn't appear to be fading anytime soon. Score an inexpensive pair of these earrings at GoJane.com. Seriously, they are $5. What are you waiting for?
Clinique Chubby Stick – Scultping Contour ($26)
As a beginner to contouring your immediate intuition is that powder products are king, however that's far from the truth. After observing a few before & after transformations in Sephora this past weekend I can confidently say that Clinique's Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour is the superior product for beginners. It's easy to use, effective and travel-friendly. Full review will follow.
Shiseido – Foundation Brush ($35)
As the reigning winner of Allure's Best Foundation Brush Award it's no question as to why the Shiseido Foundation Brush is so widely popular. Through innovative technology and traditional Japanese brush-making techniques, Shiseido has created the ideal foundation finish, regardless of your preferred formula.
Plus there are three different techniques that can have a dramatic effect on the coverage of your foundation:
– Pat/press to give a full coverage look.
– Brush in a half circle for medium coverage.
– Brush in long sweeps to add sheer coverage.
